Office for Health Equity and Inclusion hosts 15-minute morning yoga to promote wellness

In response to the international COVID-19 pandemic, and unpredictable social climate, the Office for Health Equity and Inclusion began 20-minute morning yoga sessions to promote wellness. The Yoga sessions are held via Zoom Monday – Friday, at 8:30 a.m. Sessions are facilitated by Peggy Wright, executive assistant to the associate vice president and associate dean of the Office or Health Equity and Inclusion.

“This yoga practice has been a gift of wellness for me and many of the regular attendees,” said Wright.

“Since we have been working remotely, the opportunity to begin the day by seeing colleagues each morning begins my day with happiness.  As we focus on our own wellness, we stretch and breathe, and do not think of anything else – like emails, for just 20 minutes. It has made a world of difference physically and mentally.”
